About Us

Jerry and the Tilemakers opened their first retail store with a large showroom in Townsville in May 1998. Since then we have serviced the North Queensland community with all their tiling needs. We stock a vast range of products from ceramic tile, slate, terracotta, sandstone to glass mosaics, river stones, marble, and pebbles. We also carry all tiling tools and adhesives for those who wish to DYI (including friendly free advice). In total we carry $1.2 million worth of stock.

In October 2005, we expanded our business and opened a new showroom in Mission Beach and further developed in 2008 when we started wholesaling to other retail shops. This expansion continued when we opened a new showroom on the Sunshine Coast in January 2010.

In November 2013 we made the bold decision to move our main Townsville shop and office to a new showroom in a beautifully restored Queenslander where our own tiles and installation were used to showcase our commitment to quality.

We specialize in everything from initial Concept Design and Layout all the way through to the installation, which is handled by our skilled team of trained tradesmen. Whether it’s floor areas, bathrooms, kitchens, laundries, swimming pools or outdoor areas we can provide a service to help you coordinate colours, textures and individual design to suit every budget.

We pride ourselves on having completed many large commercially significant projects for major builders, along with hundreds of smaller installations with great success, showing great diversity along the way.
